Q: When my application creates HL7 message data files for the FSPM how many messages can it put into each file.

A: As many as you like, the FSPM will handle files of any size

Q: I use the FSPM to distribute HL7 messages to various destination folders. Now I need to send the messages in the various destination folders to other applications via TCP/IP, how do I do this?

A: You need an HL7 TCP/IP sending application like the EasyHL7 Mailbox Router.

Q: The FSPM runs fine when I run locally but fails when I attempt to run as a service. What's the problem?

A: See the section on Troubleshooting. It's probably either DEP or a problem with a network resource.

Q: Can the FSPM receive HL7 messages into the Central Distribution Folder via TCP/IP?

A: Yes and no. The FSPM does not itself listen for HL7 messages via TCP/IP. If you're running an HL7 TCP/IP listener, just have it dump all HL7 messages into the Central Distribution Folder. If you aren't running any TCP/IP listener software, we've got several selections all of which work VERY well in tandem with the FSPM. Visit the EasyHL7 website for more information.
