This section deals with updating your UltraPort Software only (as opposed to upgrading your software license). At HermeTech software "Version" upgrades are free, so if you are running an older version of the software and would like to upgrade to the latest version all that you have to do is download the latest version from our website and install it right over your existing installation and voila, you're done!

 

IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading from the 32-Bit version to the 64-Bit version (or vice-versa) click HERE.

 

While upgrading the software itself is simple there are a few common sense practices that you should follow:

 

oBefore you begin you should always make sure the software is not currently running on the target computer (this includes the MS Windows Services).

oAlso before you begin, it is usually good practice to Remove the Windows Services from the MS Windows Services List. In the Windows Service Status Tab click the "Remove Windows Service(s)" button.

oBacking up your Critical Files is always a good idea.
