The main program window is divided into 2 main sections one for Listeners and one for Routers. Each section has it's own toolbar (see below) and is sizable by using your left mouse button on the blue border area separating them.

The Listener Toolbar
| • | New - Create a new listener profile. |
| • | Edit - Edit the 'Selected' listener profile in the list. |
| • | Check - Validates the 'Selected' listener profile in the list for syntactical correctness and errors. It will also display a count of the number of data files currently in the HL7 Message Folder. |
| • | Open - Will open the selected HL7 Message Folder in MS Windows Explorer |
| • | Run - Starts the selected listener profile. NOTE: While you may create as many listener profiles as you wish, you may only Run 3 profiles concurrently |
| • | Stop - Attempts to stop the selected listener profile (if it's running). |
| • | Delete - Will delete the selected listener profile. You will be prompted and asked to confirm BEFORE the profile is deleted. |
The Router Toolbar
| • | New - Create a new router profile. |
| • | Edit - Edit the 'Selected' router profile in the list. |
| • | Check - Validates the 'Selected' router profile in the list for syntactical correctness and errors. It will also display a count of the number of data files currently in the HL7 Message Folder. |
| • | Open - Will open the selected HL7 Message Folder in MS Windows Explorer |
| • | Run - Starts the selected router profile. NOTE: While you may create as many router profiles as you wish, you may only Run 3 profiles concurrently |
| • | Stop - Attempts to stop the selected router profile (if it's running). |
| • | Ping - Will perform a TCP/IP 'Ping' operation on the IP address of the selected profile and notify you of whether the IP address is visible from your computer. NOTE: Even if the Ping is successful, it is NOT an indication of whether there is actually an HL7 listening application running on the target IP address and port number. |
| • | Delete - Will delete the selected router profile. You will be prompted and asked to confirm BEFORE the profile is deleted. |
