Creates a new empty HL7 message file (see the toolbar for further info) |
To create a new HL7 message select 'New Message' from the 'File' Menu. After the message has been created you can then edit the content (See Editing Messages).
The Notepad will create a blank HL7 message with the MSH Segment already in place. and will open the 'Add / Remove Segments' window for you to add additional segments (which will be completely blank) to your message (see below).

Moves the selected message segment UP in the message *NOTE: You can't move a segment to a position before the MSH segment. |

Moves the selected message segment DOWN in the message *NOTE: You can't move the MSH segment from the first position. |

Removes the selected message segment *NOTE: You can't delete the MSH segment. |
