Creates a new empty HL7 message file

Open an existing HL7 message file

Open the editor window for the selected message. *NOTE: This button also exists in the message list.

Save the current file

Opens the EasyHL7 Message Search Engine (if installed)

Will display the MS Windows file properties for the current file (if a file is open)

Opens a message report for the selected message. *NOTE: This button also exists in the message list.

"Cuts" the selected message from the file and places it on the Windows clipboard

Copies the selected message to the Windows clipboard. *NOTE: To 'clone' a message, simply click the 'copy' button and then the 'paste' button.

Checks the contents of the Windows clipboard for a valid HL7 message.  If one exists then it will insert the message at the end of the file.  Yes you can paste HL7 messages copied from other text editing applications (like Windows Notepad, WordPad, or Brief) as well as from multiple instances of the HL7 Notepad.

Will delete ALL selected messages from the current file. *NOTE: This button also exists in the message list, but will only delete a single selected message.
