Step 1. This product is real-time monitoring software designed for use with the HermeTech UltraPort HL7 software. Before you can use it, you must have first installed and configured the UltraPort product. If you haven't done so, then visit www.HermeTechNZ.com/EasyHL7 to register and download a trial version before you continue.
Step 2. If you haven't already done so then download and install the UltraPort Monitor software.
Step 3: Start the monitor software (during installation it places a shortcut on your Windows Desktop). If it's your first time running the monitor then you will be asked to set up your global settings (see below). After you have entered your global settings you click the 'Continue' button to return to the main window.

Check this if the UltraPort application is installed and running on the same computer.

Check this radio button if the UltraPort application is installed on a remote computer (see item 3 as well)

If you monitor a remote computer you must enter the TCP/IP address of that computer (See Troubleshooting)

Enter the IP port number on which the UltraPort application is accepting Monitor traffic. See the documentation for the UltraPort application for more info (click here)

Enter a connection 'Name' here. Required only if you intend to save your settings.

If you need to monitor multiple UltraPort applications on different computers you can save your connection information by clicking the 'Save' button. As a shortcut, you can then double click any item in your saved connections list to immediately select your connection information. To delete a setting click the 'Delete' button in the list.
