To install the .Net components you have to download the EasyHL7 ActiveX Components. This download is a file called EasyHL7System.zip. Extract this entire zip file into a folder on your hard drive. Your folder now contains several sub-folders:

Install - This folder contains 2 files EasyHL7Toolbox.msi and Setup.exe. Double click either one of these to install the ActiveX Components AND the .Net objects. If during this installation process you follow the default prompts you will find the EHL7_MC2005.dll file in c:\Program Files\EasyHL7\VisualStudio.Net\VS2005.

Documentation - This folder contains help files in 2 formats (.chm and .pdf) for ONLY the EasyHL7 ActiveX Components. All help for the EasyHL7 objects for .Net is online.

ActiveX_SampleCode - This folder contains several sample program projects which utilize ONLY the EasyHL7 ActiveX Components.

VS.Net_Objects_SampleCode - This folder contains the source code for the Example Program listed in this help file.

RuntimeDistributionSetup - This folder contains 2 files EasyHL7RuntimeDistribution.msi and Setup.exe. You would need to run this installation ONLY on client computers you are deploying applications to. Important Note: For all solutions using the EasyHL7 objects for .Net you ONLY need to run this installation on client computers IF your application calls one of the User Interface methods which are indicated as needing them. You can test for whether this installation has been performed by calling the SupportServicesInstalled() method of the HL7Vendor object.
