The System Requirements for the EasyHL7 MySQL Schema Engine

Hardware:

Intel Pentium 800 MHZ or greater.

256 MB Memory (512 recommended)

25 MB HDD Space

Software:

       MS Windows 2000/XP or Windows Server 2000/2003 32 Bit Only (Important Note for MS Vista click here)

MySQL 5.1.x ( MySQL AB Home Page OR MySQL Downloads )

       MySQL ODBC driver version 3.51.22 (or equivalent see MySQL Downloads)

Technical notes regarding MySQL requirements:

The EasyHL7 MySQL Schema Engine was developed against MySQL 5.0.45 Community-nt edition with MySQL client version 5.1.11. In setting up our databases we used vanilla settings wherever possible. For Connectivity we used the MySQL ODBC driver version 3.51.22. All required software is freely available from the MySQL website.

No Triggers or Stored Procedures are employed in building an EasyHL7 Schema, all SQL statements and table structures have been made as 'standard' as possible in order to provide maximum compatibility with older MySQL installations. So, even if you're running an older version of MySQL there's a good chance that the EasyHL7 MySQL Schema Engine will still work for you.
