Commando TCP/IP Listeners

Top  Previous  Next

In the Commando HL7 Workbench you can create up to 10 different listener profiles and you can run up to 5 of them concurrently.

You use a Commando Listener profile to receive HL7 messages over a TCP/IP connection.  When configured properly a Commando HL7 Listener will:

Establish itself by binding to a designated IP address on your computer and opening up the port number desired.
Passively 'Listen' for HL7 messages sent to it by a 'Client' computer.
Write each HL7 message received into the folder indicated in the profile.
If configured it will then send an HL7 acknowledgement back to the sender indicating that the message was received.

In Commando you can create up to 10 different listener profiles and you can run up to 5 of those profiles concurrently.
