Starting the program for the first time

When you start the program for the first time you must first agree to the EULA and activate your product.

DEMO MODE - If you haven't purchased a license yet you can activate the software with a DEMO license which will be good for 30 days. With a DEMO license you can run up to 5 listener profiles per session. Also with a DEMO license you will not be able to register or start the MS Windows Service and must use the 'Run Locally' option which executes as a regular windows desktop application. While you are using your DEMO license your listener profiles will only run for 5 minutes before stopping automatically and then have to be restarted. This may not sound like much time, but over a fast network your listener profiles could receive up to 2-3000 HL7 messages PER LISTENER in 5 minutes. While running with your DEMO license you can activate your product with a live license at any time by clicking 'Activate Your Product' in the 'File' menu of the main window.

LIVE ACTIVATION - If you have purchased a license click 'Live Activation' and then select whether you wish to activate 'Online' over the internet or whether you already have your product activation key (Activation Keys can be generated for your computer using the EasyHL7 Product License Manager).

Online Activation - Using online activation is simple. You simply enter your HermeTech customer ID (the email address you used when you registered on the www.hermetechnz.com/EasyHL7 website), your password and a short (50 characters or less) comment/description of the installation. This comment is required and is used by HermeTech International Ltd to support you by helping us identify which specific installation you might have questions about.

Using Online Activation

Manual Activation - For manual activation and how to create computer activation keys for your products we recommend the EasyHL7 License Manager. Manual activation is accomplished by copying a product activation key to the MS Windows clipboard and then pasting it into the manual activation window.
