Create a Maintenance Plan so that the mailbox router service can help you keep your file system clean of aged data files. Even if you've got procedures in place to examine and remove traffic logs or HL7 acknowledgements etc, having a maintenance plan in place will insure that nothing 'slips through the cracks'.

To create a maintenance plan click the 'Tools' menu, then click 'View / Edit the File System Maintenance Plan'. Select the appropriate values and click the 'Save Changes' button. It's that easy.
