Commando TCP/IP Routers

Top  Previous  Next

In the Commando HL7 Workbench you can create up to 10 different router profiles and you can run up to 5 of them concurrently.

You use a Commando Router profile to send HL7 messages over a TCP/IP connection.  When configured properly a Commando HL7 Router can:

Monitor a folder on the file system looking for HL7 message files.
When a file is detected, open it and split out individual HL7 messages.
Establish a TCP/IP connection to a waiting HL7 Listener using the IP address and Port number indicated in the profile.
Send the HL7 message to the Listener.
(Optional) Wait for an HL7 acknowledgement from the listener, and when received write that acknowledgement into a folder.
(Optional) If no acknowledgement is received, save the unacknowledged message to another folder
(Optional) Archive the sent messages into an archive folder.
