In the Commando HL7 Workbench you can create up to 10 different router profiles and you can run up to 5 of them concurrently.

You use a Commando Router profile to send HL7 messages over a TCP/IP connection. When configured properly a Commando HL7 Router can:
• | Monitor a folder on the file system looking for HL7 message files. |
• | When a file is detected, open it and split out individual HL7 messages. |
• | Establish a TCP/IP connection to a waiting HL7 Listener using the IP address and Port number indicated in the profile. |
• | Send the HL7 message to the Listener. |
• | (Optional) Wait for an HL7 acknowledgement from the listener, and when received write that acknowledgement into a folder. |
• | (Optional) If no acknowledgement is received, save the unacknowledged message to another folder |
• | (Optional) Archive the sent messages into an archive folder. |
